Meet Julianna, a Summerland OG, a talented hairstylist and owner of Rose & Co Salon.
She has a passion for people and a love for the outdoors. When she's not busy creating stunning hairstyles in her salon, you can find her spending quality time with her daughter, husband, and their furry and feathered friends - including cats, dogs, and over a dozen chickens!
During the warmer months, Julianna enjoys camping on the weekends and having a blast on Shuswap Lake with her extended family. Her journey in the hair industry began on a whim in September 2008, but she quickly discovered her knack for making people feel good about themselves and building connections through her chair conversations.
With over a decade of experience in various salons, including a bustling downtown Victoria salon where she learned from top educators, Julianna has honed her skills and developed her signature style - classic, confident, and comfortable. She excels in creating lived-in blondes and brunettes, textured haircuts, and teaching simple tricks for achieving volume at home.
Whether it's adding dimension to fine hair or transforming thick and curly locks with Japanese Hair Straightening, Julianna is dedicated to providing her clients with top-notch service and a welcoming salon environment. Jana Roller
Introducing the fabulous Jana, your go-to hairstylist for all things glam! From a young age, Jana's love for hair, makeup, and all things fabulous has been undeniable. Hailing from the cozy town of Williams Lake, Jana and her lively crew – including her high school sweetheart, an 11-year-old son made the leap to Penticton in 2017, bringing their vibrant energy to the Okanagan Valley. Since they have grown their family to include 2 dogs, 2 cats, 4 chickens and very affectionate boa constrictor.
Starting her journey at Rose & Co hair salon as a front desk dynamo in 2022, Jana quickly found her passion for hairstyling ignited by her amazing coworkers and the buzzing salon atmosphere. As of December 2024, Jana has completed her apprenticeship and now is full time behind the chair.
Jana's flair for textured looks, pastel colors, lived-in blondes, vibrant coppers, and balayage is constantly growing. Oh, and let's not forget her signature glamorous blowouts – she's even coined her own blowout style!
When she's not busy creating hair magic, you can catch Jana indulging in her love for photography, make-up, belting out tunes, crushing weights at the gym, dominating spin class, binge-watching “Supernatural”, and don't get her started on her shaker cup and Starbucks tumbler collection – it's a full-blown obsession!
With a style as eclectic as her personality, Jana keeps everyone on their toes with her ever-changing looks. As clients often say, "It's always a surprise when you walk in the door!" Whitney Minty
Whitney is a fierce Taurus hairstylist who thrives on setting goals and making them happen.
Her creativity knows no bounds, allowing her to think outside the box and create magic with hair. When she is not slaying behind the chair, you can find Whitney bonding with her amazing daughter through painting masterpieces or whipping up culinary delights in the kitchen, all while being supervised by her sassy yet sweet dachshund sidekick.
Whitney may be a planner extraordinaire, but she is also the queen of going with the flow when plans go out the window. An introvert by nature, she can switch gears and rock that extrovert vibe like a boss when duty calls.
Whitney’s hairstylist journey began 11 years ago, fueled by a passion for creativity stemming from her artsy background. She delved deep into the world of coloring and blonding, taking every course imaginable to perfect her craft.
Proudly serving as an Oligo Professionals Technique advisor, Whitney travels to share her passion for hair by teaching others the art of placement and techniques. Blondes is her calling card, and Whitney has mastered the art of time management in the salon to deliver that perfect blonde in record time.
Her personal style is all about daily transformations and embracing the best version of yourself each day. Fashion is about feeling good in your skin and owning your unique style – as she says, after all, whatever outfit you die in is your ghost outfit forever!
Specializing in blondes, balayage, and livable color, Whitney stands out with her strategic placements, color-matching prowess, and knack for creating the perfect blend. As a color educator, she is here to share her tips and tricks with the world, one fabulous hairstyle at a time.
Laura Blake
Meet Laura, a seasoned hairstylist with 26 years of experience behind the chair. Originally from Vancouver, Laura now calls Penticton home since 2018.
When not transforming hair at Rose & Co Salon, you can find Laura on the hunt for treasures at second-hand stores, unwinding with Dateline, or enjoying happy hour with friends. Known for her love of short hair styles and textured looks, Laura is a master of creating lived-in, messy hair that exudes personality. With a knack for pushing boundaries and a creative flair, Laura is always up for a challenge when it comes to cutting hair.
Her eclectic sense of style shines through in her wardrobe, and her footwear collection is a crowd favorite – it might even be considered a fetish! Consistent, creative, and comedic, Laura is not just a hairstylist, but a true artist in the world of hair.
Damara Harkness
Say Hey to Damara, a seasoned hairstylist with 17 years of experience.
When Damara isn't behind the chair creating beautiful lived-in blondes or rich brunettes, and stunning hair cuts, you can find her enjoying quality time with her two boys, aged 4 and 7. She loves watching them swim and play.
As a level 2 Reiki practitioner, Damara loves to incorporate reiki into her shampoo sessions for those who request it.
Originally from Penticton but now residing in Summerland, Damara has a passion for reading, watching true crime documentaries, and changing up her own hair color on a whim. As a self-proclaimed casual diva, Damara finds joy in dancing, singing, and hanging out with her girlfriends. Oh, and did she mention she is a huge Mariah Carey fan? So, if you're looking for a hairstylist who brings a touch of flare to every guest experience, Damara is your girl!
Malynda Flooren
This is Malynda, she is a local Okanagan girl with a big heart and an even bigger family – including Stanley the family cat.
When she’s creating stunning looks in the salon, you can catch her binge-watching "Love is Blind," eagerly awaiting the next season of "Bridgerton," and she is forever obsessed with "FRIENDS."
Malynda kicked off her hair journey back in 2008, and she has been rocking the salon scene for a solid 15 years.
Specializing in Hot Heads extension applications and armed with color education from the likes of Loreal Professional, Redken, Joico, and Oligo. She’s here to make your hair dreams a reality.
Her personal style? Think cheetah print and red lipstick – because why blend in when you were born to stand out, right? She is all about creating textured styles that scream “yeah baby yeah!”, from a killer shag to the perfect blonde (or any color under the sun) and even a good ol' perm. They say Malynda has got a quirky old soul, and she wears that badge with pride.
